The Next Family Movie Night at Corrine Jones Park Features “Dumbo”

Published

on

On Friday, September 13th, the Charleston Parks Conservancy will host a free family movie night at Corrine Jones Park in downtown Charleston. Arrive at 6:30 pm for circus-themed games and activities before the showing of Dumbo at dark (approximately 7:45 pm). Food trucks Area 51 and Lola’s Lumpia will have food available for purchase at the gathering.

Rated PG, this new version of Dumbo revisits the classic story of a young elephant with over-sized ears and the powers of flight who becomes a circus superstar. His caretaker is torn between his employer’s exploitative thirst for profits and his children’s desire to reunite Dumbo with his mother.

Pets on leashes are welcome. Corrine Jones Park is located at 36 Marlow Drive in Charleston’s Wagener Terrace neighborhood. The event is free but registration is required.
