Awendaw Green will bring back their “original music listening room showcase” at the Queen Street Playhouse, home of Footlight Players. The show features Inn Vinegar and Terraphonics and will be held on Friday, September 6th at 7 pm.

Inn Vinegar’s Alex Brauwer, McCarthy Fitch, Misha Pekar, and Jesse Shafer are budding jazz musicians who all attend the College of Charleston and play professionally in a variety of bands and projects in the Charleston area. They all play and create various styles of music, but with Inn Vinegar have developed a repertoire of original music that cannot be categorized. The group takes a traditional songwriting approach and blends it with jazz harmony and complex rhythms for cutting-edge music commanding interest from around the region.

Terraphonics is the production of songwriter/guitarist Thomas Kenney and features Alex Kellner on bass, Brandon Brooks on drums, and Jonathan Lovett on keys, as well as a rotating cast of soulful vocalists and MCs. The band’s fusion of rhythm and blues harmony, dance rhythms and psychedelic orchestral elements keep their audiences moving to a higher place.

Doors for the show open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are available through the venue’s box office at $20 for general admission and $12 for students.
