Folly Beach Presents: 29th Annual Sea & Sand Street Festival

The 29th Annual Folly Beach Sea & Sand Festival is coming to the Edge of America for a weekend of family-friendly fun from Friday, September 20th through Sunday, September 22nd. The event is Folly Beach’s longest-running, largest, and most family-friendly festival, with proceeds benefiting Folly Beach projects and charities chosen by the Folly Association of Business. 

The schedules is as follows:

Friday, September 20
  • 6th annual Miss Sea & Sand Festival Pageant at Folly River Park
  • Winners in various age groups will have the opportunity to wear their crowns and sashes during the street festival on Saturday
Saturday, September 21st
  • Street Festival held from 10 am to 4 pm on Center Street
  • Local food and art vendors, inflatables, two kids areas, face painting, and live music by Average Savages, Fancy Kool Aide, Bender Funk, and Wylder Funk Band
  • Advance tickets may be purchased for $6 online at VisitFolly.com
    • Starting September 3rd, advance tickets may also be purchased at the Folly Beach Library for $5 cash only
    • Tickets at the gate on the day of the event will be $10, cash only. Folly Beach residents and children age 12 & under receive free admission.
Sunday, September 22nd
  • The annual Sand Sculpting Contest and Volleyball Competition will be held beachfront at the Tides Hotel
  • Kick-off for the Sand Castle competition begins at 9 am with judging beginning at 12 pm
  • Volleyball Competition will begin at 10 am
    • The Four on Four Coed Volleyball competition will include two divisions – Competitive & Recreational, cost is $40 per team or $10 for individuals (individual tickets only available for the recreational division) with merchandise/gift card prizes for the winning teams
    • Team registration will begin on September 1st at VisitFolly.com
