Published

on

The Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry (DSAL) will be holding their annual Buddy Walk on October 20th from noon to 4 pm at Etiwan Park on Daniel Island.

The event will have activities for the whole family including jump castles, live music from Dave Landeo and friends, face painting, food, and more. The event will culminate with a one mile walk led by local marching bands to celebrate DSAL members with Down Syndrome along with their families and friends.

Funds raised by this event support over 200 families in the Lowcountry who have a family member with Down Syndrome. This money helps to provide social and educational events for DSAL members as well as professionals who provide services
for these families.

Registration for the event is $10 in advance ($15 day of event) and includes a Lowcountry Buddy Walk t-shirt and all of the food and activities. Children under 3 are free.

For information on how to register, volunteer, or become a sponsor for this event, go to: www.dsalowcountry.org/buddy_walk.
