Brookgreen Gardens’ Fall Craft Beer Festival Returns for Ninth Year

Published

on

Brookgreen Gardens will host their ninth annual Brew at The Zoo on Saturday, November 2nd. Guests can sip more than 30 different craft beers and enjoy food while strolling through Brookgreen’s Lowcountry Zoo, which features animals native to the Lowcountry’s woods, swamps, and waters in their natural habitats.

“We are excited to be hosting Brew at the Zoo for another year and look forward to showing off the zoo after hours, in an intimate and casual setting,” Page Kiniry, President and CEO of Brookgreen Gardens, said. “The Lowcountry Zoo has been an important element of our mission since Brookgreen Gardens’ inception. This event is one our favorite fall events that allows guests to enjoy a fun night out, while also supporting the Gardens.”

Brookgreen Gardens is dedicated to collecting, conserving, and exhibiting the animals of the South Carolina Lowcountry. The Lowcountry Zoo is one of five institutions accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) in South Carolina. All the native animals in the Lowcountry Zoo were either bred and raised in captivity or have sustained a major disability due to injury. Native species in the Lowcountry Zoo include alligators, bald eagles, grey foxes, hawks, owls, red foxes, river otters, white-tailed deer, ducks, herons and egrets.
