Inaugural “Shuckin’ in Nature Oyster Roast” Brings Together Local Businesses for Outdoor Showcase
O.M.E. (Oceans+Mountains=Earth) Gear, a Charleston-based outdoors brand led by business and life partners Julie Weldon and Stacey Pierce, will team with Tradesman Brewing Company and Lowcountry Oyster Company for an oyster roast to raise awareness and money for the South Carolina Shellfish Growers Association. The event will be held on November 17th, from 1 pm through 5 pm at the brewery located at 1647 King St Ext.
Tickets to the event can be purchased here. Tickets include unlimited oysters and one beer from Tradesman Brewery. In addition to the oyster roast, there will be a gathering of local outdoor businesses selling their wares, a raffle with prizes from a few Charleston-based outdoor companies, and the food from Herd Provisions. The Black Diamond Band will be playing live music from 2 pm through 5 pm.
During the event, the founders of O.M.E. Gear will also interview local business owners for their podcast Do It In Nature – a podcast centered around all things outdoors.
