Hamby Catering Offers Thanksgiving Menu, Partners with Lowcountry Food Bank

Hamby Catering & Events, Charleston’s oldest locally owned catering company, announced its 2019 Thanksgiving Pick-Up Menu featuring several seasonal selections for the festivities. Locals can purchase a homemade meal for the holiday without the hassle and stress of cooking, available for pre-order now through Friday, November 22nd.

For the sixth consecutive year, Hamby Catering is partnering with the Lowcountry Food Bank as part of its Thanksgiving tradition. For every “Gobble Gobble” package purchased, Hamby Catering will sponsor a Thanksgiving dinner for a local family in need. Last year, Hamby Catering helped the Lowcountry Food Bank provide 4,800 meals across the Lowcountry.

“We greatly appreciate the partnership with Hamby Catering in helping provide meals during the holiday season to those in our community who struggle from food insecurity,” Brenda Shaw, Chief Development Officer of Lowcountry Food Bank, said. “Hamby Catering understands how a special meal with family and friends creates memories and joy for those involved.”

The Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving Package, priced at $165, serves up to eight people and features familiar Turkey Day dishes and dressings, including Southern Traditional Whole Roasted Turkey, Macaroni & Cheese, Sweet Potato Casserole, Southern Green Beans, Cornbread Dressing and Classic Turkey Gravy. The Upgraded Gobble Gobble Package includes a Whole Bourbon-Roasted Turkey (instead of the Southern Traditional Whole Roasted Turkey) and Cranberry Orange Relish for $181. Hamby Catering is also offering a Cornucopia à la carte menu, which allows you to select individual sides, desserts, and extra traditional fixings at your convenience.

Hamby Catering is also offering a special holiday wine menu, curated by advanced sommelier Patrick Emerson of Curated Selections. Each bottle was hand-selected to pair perfectly with the sweet and savory flavors of your Thanksgiving meal. Patrons have the choice of the King & Cannon Pinot Noir ($24), AIX Rose ($22) or Caruso e Minini Catarratto ($25).

Hamby Catering is accepting Thanksgiving orders through Friday, November 22nd at noon. Items will be available for pickup on Wednesday, November 27th from 9 am to 5 pm.
