As we are proud to say that Charleston is one of the friendliest places to be in, we are also proud to say that Charleston is very friendly for pets as well. Charleston people have a lot of pet friends. Dogs are especially privileged when it comes to pet-friendly advantages and activities.

There are a lot of places that make dogs’ life in this city a blast and we are going to tell you all about it.

Coastal Canine Academy

The Coastal Canine Academy is proof of how much Charleston loves its dogs. It is a training academy that offers services of training your dog in your own home, you do not need to take it anywhere. This is great because your dog can learn stuff in its own environment, which makes the training program more effective because it is less distracted by a foreign place.

They use techniques that do not involve fear and they give counseling when it comes to the future of your dog and everything you need to know when it comes to raising it well, like what enzyme supplements for dogs to buy, or what bed to buy for it to grow healthy.

Chucktown Charley

We all know how stressed out our dogs get when they are home alone and now, studies suggest that more than 70 percent of dogs experience separation anxiety when you leave them home alone to go to work. They even have a 6th sense, knowing when you will arrive and end their suffering.

Therefore, Chucktown Charley has many offers when it comes to how our dog can spend its time doing something useful. They have training sessions, private play care, and even puppy train and play, involving other dogs as well.

The dogs are very well taken care of and they are always happy and enjoying activities that they wouldn’t enjoy while being home alone. You can also leave your dog there during the night, when you have a business trip, for example. You can be sure that you are going to find a very happy dog when you come back to take it home.

White Point Garden

White Point Garden is an awesome park in Charleston that makes you want to learn more about the Civil War history. Here you can find cannons and mortars that are full of history and it offers a lot of peace and serenity because of the beautiful streets and alleys that you can find here.

The great thing about this park is that between dawn and 9 am and between 5 pm and 11 pm it transforms into a leash-free area for your furry friends. You can find a lot of squirrels here and one of the most beautiful things about this park is that it is surrounded by fences, so you can leave your dog wandering around without being afraid that you will lose it.

The dog-friendly beaches

The peninsula where Charleston lies is surrounded by many islands that provide their residents and visitors with a lot of beaches.

Some of them allow dogs to play all day, like Isle of Palms. During fall and winter, from September till March, dogs are allowed off-leash between 4 am and 10 pm and, in the summer, your dog can enjoy freedom from 5 am till 9 am every morning.

Charleston is a very beautiful city and it is very friendly to its visitors as well as for its residents. The same goes for the man’s best friend, the dog. In the hope that every city in the world will at some point be as pet-friendly as Charleston, it welcomes everybody to enjoy life together with their pets.
