Segra, RiverDogs Partner for Club Level Sponsorship at The Joe
Press Release
At the team’s inaugural “State of the RiverDogs” breakfast on Thursday morning, the Charleston RiverDogs announced a new wide-ranging partnership that includes the title sponsorship of the ballpark’s Club Level, effective immediately. The Club Level, previously known as the Riley Park Club since its inception in 2017, will now be known as the Segra Club at Riley Park, kicking off a long-term partnership with Charlotte-based business communications technology firm Segra. In addition, Segra now becomes the official telecommunications provider of the RiverDogs and is in the process of upgrading phone, internet, and data services throughout the ballpark.
“We are thrilled to be associated with a brand like Segra and to introduce them as the presenting sponsor of our club level”, said RiverDogs President and General Manager Dave Echols. “We believe this partnership will allow us to continue providing our fans with a first-class experience in a modern and luxury-filled space.
Segra is one of the largest independent fiber network infrastructure companies in the Eastern United States with a broad and dense service area across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. The company was formed by the joining of Lumos Networks and Spirit Communications in 2018 and rebranded as Segra in 2019.
“We’re delighted to be partners with the RiverDogs and sponsors of such a prominent and popular part of the ballpark experience,” stated Greg Guerra, President and Chief Operating Officer of Segra. “This partnership signals our deep and long-term commitment to meeting the communication needs of businesses throughout the Charleston community with our advanced fiber network and industry-leading service.”
The newly-announced Segra-RiverDogs partnership also includes adding a free mobile device charging station at the ballpark and special Business Night Out networking events in the Club on select Wednesday RiverDogs home games.
Designed by Charleston-based architectural firm LS3P in collaboration with BallparkDesignAssociates, the Segra Club at Riley Park was built by Mashburn Construction prior to the 2017 season. The Club’s interior features lounge seating steeped in Lowcountry elegance, a drink rail overlooking the field of play and padded, stadium-style seats on the exterior. Patrons enjoy breathtaking sunset views over the Ashley River wetlands through the floor-to-ceiling glass that encompasses the club.
In addition to the Segra Club’s availability during RiverDogs games, the space serves as a premier private event space, available for events of up to 200 guests year-round. The Club Level has hosted a variety of events including corporate meetings, holiday parties, weddings, receptions, showers and more.
Gameday tickets to the Segra Club at Riley Park include complimentary beer and wine and a top-notch food experience from a number of The Indigo Road’s restaurants, catered directly by Mercantile + Mash, including Oak Steakhouse and O-Ku sushi branded specialties. An all-inclusive ticket to the club is available for $90 with a minimum group size of ten. In addition to groups, fans can experience the club with season ticket or flex voucher options.
