Angel Oak Crossfit Launches Community Over COVID Online Fundraising Competition
Angel Oak Crossfit on Johns Island has created Community Over COVID, an “Open to All” online competition with the sole mission of providing support for both the Charleston Food and Beverage industry and those working the frontlines.
All registration fees will be used to purchase coffee, beer, and meals from local Charleston establishments to be delivered to local hospitals and first responders.
Here’s how the online competition, which runs from Wednesday, April 22nd through Monday, April 27th, works:
- The event is open to anyone
- There are two divisions: Movement and Performance
- Movement Division
- You’re here for fitness, fun, and a great cause
- Movements can be all body weight or you may use any weight DB
- Performance
- You’re here for more advanced fitness, fun, a great cause, and some friendly competition
- Participants will need a jump rope and 50# DB (men) or 35# DB (women)
- Movement Division
- Individuals can register now through Friday. The cost is $20+fees ($23.17). Click here to register.
- You do not have to live in Charleston to compete!
There are 5 workouts to complete over six days. Two workouts will be released Wednesday, two on Thursday, and the final workout will be released Friday. Participants have until Monday, 11:59 pm to submit their scores. The top local Male and Female winners from the Performance Division will receive a $50 gift card to a local Charleston establishment.
Daily info will be released on Angel Oak Crossfit’s FB page. They have also created a FB event page to help spread the details to more people.
