New Charleston Reality Show to Aid Independent Musicians and Animal Rescues
A new Charleston reality show plans to not only jump-start independent artists’ careers, but also intends to assist nine local animal rescues.
Party Animals will offer the winning musical act a $50,000 cash prize and a recording contract from Atlas Star Records. In addition, the program will raise funds and awareness for the aforementioned animal rescues.
According to the show’s creators, contestants will form a team of five and have to face an array of challenges, make tough decisions, and work seamlessly together to produce a charity event at Atlas Star Records. If the team is over 30% profitable with their first event, they move on to Round 2 where their budget is increased. All ticket sales and revenue generated by the events will benefit nine local animal rescues.
Once the contestants throw four consecutive, successful parties, they will be awarded a final budget of $50,000 that they can keep or put towards one last Grand Finale event, where they get to put every dollar back in their pockets.
Auditions will be held on Friday, May 15th from 11 am to 6 pm at The Bizzie Bee and Atlas Star Records (9422 US-78, Ladson). Auditions and teams are limited to a singer/songwriter, one accompanying musician, and three friends or family members. Only the team leader needs to register for auditions.
