Palmetto Aftershock Launch

Published

on

The Charleston Beer Exchange, which is awesome by the way, will have a special launch party/tasting for Palmetto Brewing’s new beer “Aftershock.” They will also be celebrating the release of a new book, “Upheaval in Charleston: Earthquake and Murder on the Eve of Jim Crow.” Both celebrations give a nod to the earthquake that hit the Holy City in 1886.

The event is slated for tomorrow (Thursday) from 5-7pm. Susan Millar Williams and Stephen G. Hoffius (the authors) will be signing copies of the book, which will be available at the Beer Exchange.

And don’t forget about the “Not Just for Vegetarian’s Beer Dinner” they are hosting on 10/2. Here are details straight from the Charleston Beer Exchange’s website:

“The beer dinner to be at this season is at Hominy Grill on Sunday, October 2nd!  All four of Charleston’s breweries will be on hand (that’s Palmetto, COAST, Westbrook & Holy City just to be sure), showing their specialties in a unique format: there will be 6 courses each paired with 2 different beers from 2 of the different breweries!  That’s an impressive 12 beers total accompanying a delightful vegetarian-friendly (but great for everyone) meal crafted by none other than Robert Stehling and his terrific crew at Hominy Grill.  To see the menu click here.  Seats for this spectacular event are going fast so call Hominy Grill at (843) 937-0930 to secure your reservations.  We look forward to seeing you there!”
