Critical Need For Blood
The American Red Cross is reporting there is a critical need for blood donations at this time and Lowcountry is being asked to help out! On Thursday from 11 am to 7 pm blood donations will be accepted at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. You can schedule your appointment HERE.
The drive is being called “Starve a Vampire, Donate Blood” (nice Halloween tie-in) and has the backing of Count on 2 News, The CW, and Q104.5.
Saving someone’s life and a catchy name aren’t enough for you? Well, there are FREEBIES too! One local website is reporting: “The first 250 presenting blood donors will receive a free pass to a special 3D attraction at the Boone Hall Fright Nights plus the first 100 presenting donors will receive a voucher good for a $2.00 off a pumpkin at the John Wesley United Methodist Church pumpkin patch. In addition, ALL donors will automatically be registered for the chance to win a $50 gift card from Halloween Express plus the chance to win a pair of roundtrip domestic tickets courtesy of Delta Air Lines.”
