TODAY Show Features Charleston Resident KJ Kearney of Black Food Fridays

Local resident K.J. Kearney, a community organizer and creator of the popular Black Food Fridays Instagram and TikTok accounts, on Monday was featured in a story for the TODAY show.

Kearney discussed how he wrote Charleston’s “Red Rice Day” Proclamation, his efforts to elevate and amplify Gullah-Geechee culture, Black food history, and the growth of Black Food Fridays.
