Charleston Climate Coalition to Hold Arts and Nature Fair at The Woodlands This Sunday
In keeping with the themes of gratitude, celebration, and giving with the approaching holiday season, the Charleston Climate Coalition is holding the “Climate Faire at the Woodlands” from 2 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, November 21st at the Woodlands Nature Reserve.
The event will feature an array of outdoor workshops and activities, including yoga in the woods, flag making, a nature hike, bird house construction, Biochar 101, holiday decorations, dream boxes, improv, and a screening of “Rescue Rantowles Creek.” Plus, the Stone Soup Collective will be providing homemade hot soup made with local ingredients.
The Climate Faire is running in conjunction and partnership with Woodlands Nature Reserve’s Artcelium Fest, which itself will feature artists, vendors, and music. The fee to attend the event is $5 in advance and $10 at the door. You can find more info at https://www. newparadigmproductions.org/ event-details/artcelium-fest- vol-6 .
“The Woodlands and Artcelium Fest should be the perfect backdrop for our day of community, camaraderie, and love for the Earth,” said Belvin Olasov, co-director of the Charleston Climate Coalition. “If we are going to build a climate movement to last, we need to make space for art and joy.”
