“Empower the Next” Mentor Banquet Geared to Celebrate Mentorship in All its Forms
Lowcountry Youth Services (LYS), a youth development organization, highlights National Mentoring Month by celebrating mentorship in its many forms at the “Empowering the Next” Mentor Fellowship Banquet. Parents, mentors, coaches, youth leaders, and positive adults are invited to attend with a teen or young person for a night of food, fellowship, and mentorship.
The event will feature a panel discussion about the importance of mentorship and youth development. The panel will be led by youth involved in mentoring initiatives and will discuss how mentorship has impacted their lives. During the event, the organization will also be honoring their 2022 LYS Trailblazer Award, Ms. Roslin Fields. The award honors individuals and organizations with a sustainable impact on mentorship in the Lowcountry.
The event will take place on Sunday, January 23th at Segra Club in Riley Park (360 Fishburne Street) at 4 pm. Doors will open at 3:30 pm.
