Cindy Lou Who is All Grown Up And Off the Rails in Raunchy “Who’s Holiday”
For those looking for a little more naughty than nice for their holiday entertainment options this season, look no further than the regional premiere of the raunchy and riotous one woman comedy Who’s Holiday at the Queen Street Playhouse.
Part of Footlight Players’ new more adult-oriented Act Two theatre series (which also includes The Rocky Horror Experience and the upcoming The Last Five Years) the show will run in rep this December programmed opposite the theatre company’s original holiday variety show A Very Merry Footlight Holiday Special, returning for a second year with a brand new script and set of family-friendly holiday songs.
The outrageous and hysterical Giulia Marie Dalbec (The Full Monty, Ruthless!) stars in this wildly funny and heartfelt adults only comedy that tells the story of Cindy Lou Who, now a chain-smoking, cocktail-loving holiday celebrant living in a trailer on Mount Crumpet, as she recalls that Christmas Eve she first met the Grinch and the twisted turn of events her life has now taken.
Directed by Jackson Clark Heywood, who recently helmed Footlight’s critically acclaimed production of Misery, this hour-long laugh fest is definitely not for the kiddos nor those with a sensitive sense of humor. Cindy Lou definitely does not discriminate…she’ll offend everyone!
“Brassy and very funny! A raunchy riff on a yuletide tale that dirties up Christmas while ultimately reveling in its spirit!” -The New York Times
