Tommy Brown Jr. to Present A Tribute to Al Green and Other Soul Legends at the Pour House
Local Charleston recording artist Tommy Brown Jr. today announced his presentation of “Love and Happiness: A Tribute to Al Green and other Soul Legends” on Friday, September 1st at the Charleston Pour House.
The concert, which is part of Pour House’s 21st anniversary celebration, will feature Brown on paying tribute to the music of the 11-time Grammy award-winning artist and 1995 Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.
“Al Green laid the musical and life blueprint for generations of musical artists like myself that strive to exude soul, passion, and spirituality in the craft,” Brownsaid. “It’s only right that we pay tribute to him in one of the nation’s most historical musical cities.”
Love and Happiness will begin at 9 pm, but doors open at 8 pm. Advance tickets are $15 if purchased in advance and are available for purchase online. Attendees under 21 must be accompanied by a parent and will be subjected to a $5 cash surcharge.
