Press Release

Dorchester School District Two’s high-quality education and culture of excellence have earned it reaccreditation through Cognia.

The distinction highlights DDTwo’s focus on rigorous standards for effective learning environments, equitable allocation of resources across schools, and effective leadership. A commitment to continuous improvement is also a critical factor.

A thorough internal and external review determined DDTwo significantly outperformed Cognia’s average measure of overall performance.

The final report summarized, “The leaders and professional staff in Dorchester County School District Two are committed to continuous improvement. The use of data to inform decision-making and to ensure all initiatives are aligned with the vision, mission, and core values is pervasive throughout the district.”

Superintendent Dr. Shane Robbins said, “I am incredibly proud of Team Dorchester because these high marks don’t just happen, they require hard work and dedication. We’ll celebrate our strengths and continue to raise the bar by capitalizing on our opportunities for improvement.”
